Serving as a link between the community and the schools, the Foundation has awarded over $250,000 in grants since its inception. These grants are competitive and must meet established criteria. In the last 10 years, more than 100 teachers have received Foundation grants, averaging $1500. Some examples of these grants from previous years are funding for Arts and Latin American Culture projects in Art History, Glass Kiln and supplies for glass-fusing projects in Art, and digital and video cameras to record student projects in Physics.
