The Agua Fria Foundation is pleased to announce the availablity of grants for the 2011-2012 school year. Since its inception, the Foundation has awarded more than $300,000 to over 300 teachers and staff of the Agua Fria Union High School District. While $1500 is the average grant request, individual grants of up to $3,000 have been awarded for high impact, innovative programs. Click here to learn more about AFF Grants!
History
The Agua Fria Foundation, established in 1981, is directed by a volunteer board compromised of leaders of the community, business people, teachers, parents and staff. As members of the Southwest Valley Chamber of Commerce, the foundation's goal is to support the Agua Fria High School District and its mission as it strives for excellence in attitude, academics and achievement.

Membership
The Foundation Board is comprised of supporters of the Agua Fria Union District schools who serve a three-year term. The Board meets on the second Tuesday of each month (August - May) at 4:30pm at the Agua Fria Union High School District Office, 1481 N. Eliseo Felix Jr. Way, Suite 110, Avondale, AZ 85323. Events
The funds supporting the Foundation's efforts come from two primary sources: fundraising events and donations. In recent years, such events have included golf tournaments, a wine tasting and student art sale. New events are in the works and will focus on alumni and business partnerships.
